Bangladesh, officially the People's Republic of Bangladesh is an independent country situated in South Asia. Bangladesh means "Country of Bengal" whereas the official language is "Bengali". It is surrounded by India on all sides except for a small border with Burma (Myanmar) to the southeast and by the Bay of Bengal to the south.
